Load index

It is the number characterizing the maximum load that the tire can bear. For light-truck and truck tires there can be indicated two numbers divided by oblique stroke and characterizing the maximum load on a single or doubled wheel. Tires of one type can have several load indices depending on maximum speed. Indices list and the list of corresponding maximum loads are given in the Table "Load indices".
